Sean Lampkin, an actor best known for his role as bar owner Nipsey in the 1990s sitcom Martinpassed away at the age of 54.
Marsel Watts, a friend of the actor, announced the news on Facebook last Wednesday. “My friend, my last roommate in 10 years, a father and family man, my brother, skate buddy, business partner and trainer passed away this morning. RIP Sean Lampkin,” she wrote.

Memnar Grayton later shared that the comedic talent died in his sleep.
“Sean gave us the radiant sun every morning to guide his loved ones and friends along paths that were clear and free from any danger. He gave us streams of love every day when we’re not feeling well, or we don’t seem to want to do anything,” he wrote, according to Essence.
“But the thought of his loud laugh and cute smile made you turn all the negative thoughts into positive ones,” Grayton added. ‘He’s that kind of guy. He gave us his time and effort for situations he had no idea about, but was there to support us for the cause. He gave us his emotions when a family or friend needed sympathy or empathy for their emotional situations.
Stand-up Guy Torry also honored Lampkin by sharing an Instagram carousel of photos of the two comics hanging with peers like Dave Chappelle.
“Rest in POWER brother! My husband #SeanLampkin has been called home. #MartinShow #Nipseys What an underrated, funny and GOOD guy,” Torry wrote.
