Michael Mando has been fired from the Apple TV+ series Sinking spring after an incident on setaccording to The Hollywood Reporter.
The You better call Saul alum “was fired from the show after clashing with a co-star” on the set of the upcoming drama series, per THR. Producers initially tried to smooth things over, but eventually decided to let Mando go and recast the role. Wagner Moura (Narcos) now plays the role that Mando would play. (Apple has yet to confirm firing or rescheduling.)
Sinking spring stars Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and is about a group of friends from Philadelphia “who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the country, but their petty grievances turn into a life-and-death venture as they unwittingly tackle the largest hidden drug corridor the east coast,” according to the official description. Mando would have played Manny, a friend of Henry’s character since they were in juvenile authority together. The cast also includes Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Amir Arison, Ving Rhames and Dustin Nguyen.
Mando played for six seasons You better call Saul as petty criminal Nacho Varga; the series concluded last year. His other TV credits include Black orphan And Secret Affairs.
