Hailey Bieber limits social media comments amid Selena Gomez drama

The 26-year-old model restricts who can comment on her social media posts on Friday after she received backlash for seemingly shading Selena Gomez.

“cheerio💘,” Bieber captioned a series of photos on Instagram, on which only people she follows back can now comment.

The decision comes just a day after Gomez also decided to step back from social media amid the “silly” drama.

“I’m taking a break from social media because this is kind of silly and I’m 30,” the singer said in a TikTok live. “I’m too old for this.”

“I love you so much and I will see you sooner rather than later. I need to take a break from everything.”

The drama started after Gomez, who surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most-followed woman on Instagram, posted about her recent botched eyebrow lamination.

The next day, Jenner posted a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation with Bieber zooming in on their eyebrows next to another selfie where she wrote “this is embarrassing???” across her forehead.

Soon after, fans took to social media saying that Jenner was shading the founder of Rare Beauty — but both women quickly tried to shut down the speculation.

“This achieved. no shade to selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrows posted,” 25-year-old Jenner said under a video explaining the situation. “You make something out of nothing.”

Gomez also chimed in, saying she “agrees” with the makeup mogul and that all the rumors are “unnecessary.”

However, things took a turn for the worse after a video of Hailey, who is married to Justin Bieber, the actress’ ex, dissinging Gomez’s BFF Taylor Swift, surfaced online.

In the clip, the founder of Rhode gagged after hearing the “Midnights” singer’s name while hosting “Drop the Mic.”

Gomez was quick to defend Swift in the comments section, writing, “I’m sorry, my best friend is and will always be one of the best in the game.”

Feud rumors between the two ladies started almost five years ago after Justin, 28, proposed to Hailey just four months after he and Gomez called it quits.

The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star dated the ‘Believe’ singer for eight years.
